I’m excited to announce some new changes for the website and the blog.
At long last, after going through lists and logo ideas and consulting with family, friends, writers, and artists, I’m glad to present History Pie.com — History One Slice at a Time.
The plan is to keep the blog going regularly. That’s worked pretty well in bursts, but I’m hoping to make it weekly all year. I’m also hoping to get some guest writers on to share stories they’ve found as well. And of course, I’m always looking local, state, regional, national, or even international stories that are interesting.
I’ve purchased the domain name historypie.com and may eventually develop it into a separate space, but for now, it will remain part of this site. If you type in historypie.com, you will be directed here. Since I kept my original domain from the studio, brantleystudio.com, I’ve always created a redirect from that as I’ve had lots of old friends mention they’d tried to find Kristi and me.
The content here will remain free and to subscribe, just enter your email address in the box on any of the website pages. You won’t get blasted from me and I won’t share your info. About 1-2 emails per week will be it. New content starts Jan. 13!
I do plan to offer some Historypie.com merch this year to help offset the costs of maintaining the website and other expenses. Let me know if there are things you’d like to see.
Thanks to all who spend time on this website and especially those who comment and send messages. I appreciate readers and enjoy the conversation — it’s one of the most rewarding things about writing.
Congratulations! I’m so proud of you and your family.
Thanks – so great to hear from you! I hope all is well with the Sutters.
An historical event, I’d say. Will be eagerly awaiting with my fork for each slice. You always serve up delicious looks of events.
Thank you! This place could use a few more puns, so feel free to dive in.
Sounds good, Michael. Look forward to the next chapter.
